FinderPaths is a system Extension that adds a feature to the Macintosh Finder. As you may know, a command-click on the title of a folder window in the Finder activates a pop-up menu that shows the path to that folder. FinderPaths extends that menu by adding a item called "Copy Path". The following picture shows what I mean.
Copy Path

When this "Copy Path" item is selected, the full path name of the folder is copied to the clipboard. In the above example, the path copied would be "Zen:Projects:FinderPaths:". The old clipboard contents are, of course, lost and replaced with the new path name string.
…Of Selected Items
------------------
When this item is selected, Finder Paths copies the path names of all the selected items in the folder. In the above example, the paths "Zen:Projects:FinderPaths:Paths.init.π" and "Zen:Projects:FinderPaths:src1.1" would be copied to the clipboard. Each pathname is seperated by a carriage return. Again, the old clipboard contents are lost.
So What?

This is useful if you are writing scripts in HyperCard or MPW and need to get the correct path to a folder. It may also be useful in some Excel macros. Simply put, Finder Paths removes the fear of having to type long path names.

FinderPaths may be installed by simply dragging it into the System Folder. It will ask you if you want to place it in your extensions folder--answer YES. Alternatively, you may drag it directly into your extensions folder.
FinderPaths needs System version 7 or later to operate.

If you violate any part of this agreement, your right to use this software terminates automatically and you must destroy all copies of this software and derivatives of this software in your possession and cease distributing the same.
This software is being licensed to you as provided by the terms of this agreement.
You may:
1. Use this software on as many computers as you want at any given time.
2. Make as many backup copies of this software as you want.
3. Alter the software in any manner you see fit FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL

This Software is provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the government is subject to restrictions set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at 48 CFR 252.227-7013, or in subparagraphs (a) through (d) of the Commercial Computer Software Restricted Rights clause at 48 CFR 52.227-19, as applicable.
